• Why is it called Le Clos du Buis

Our hotel is named after the massive hundred-year old boxwood hedge which sits in our beautiful garden. It provides shade in the heat of the summer and protects you from the famous Mistral wind.

  • How early can we arrive

Noon is the earliest you may arrive at the hotel to leave your bags. Please no luggage drop off before this.

Check-in to the rooms is guaranteed from 3pm, yet we service room in order of guests’ arrival when possible and sometimes we can get rooms ready before 1pm, depending on when the previous guests have left. Guests are more than welcome to drop bags off with us from noon onwards.

  • When do you accept final check ins

We close for the night at 10pm, so we do like guests to arrive before that time due to the noise element of checking in guests and showing them to their rooms, which will disturb other guests who will be resting/ asleep. We understand some circumstances are unavoidable (e.g. travel delays on the day) so please contact us as soon as you are aware of a change in your schedule.

  • What time is check out

Check out in the morning can be any time up until 11am, although this can be extended to midday upon prior request. We would appreciate that any guests wanting to check out before breakfast service settle their bill with us the evening before departure day, as guests will not have to worry about any remaining payments when leaving early for flights, trains etc.

  • Parking

We are located within the village with a private parking attached to the building, parking locked at night. If you are having trouble parking, please feel free to come and get us and we’ll help you. We are in a parking zone called “Blue Zone” which entitles to put a Blue disk on the dashboard allowing you to stay parked for 1h30 only between 8:30am until 7pm. We do have disks to borrow at our reception desk.

  • Taxis

We are fortunate to have a fantastic working relationship with some local taxi companies. If guests require taxis during the day, please feel free to let us know. For early morning departures please inform a member of staff when you wish to leave by at least the day before departure and we will arrange a taxi for you for the following morning.

  • How do you find us

You can get to Bonnieux by several means of transportation: by car, by plane at Marseilles Airport (about 1 hour away), by train at either Avignon TGV station or Aix-en-Provence TGV station. It is more difficult by bus.

Please visit our Access page to find out more.

  • What’s around you

We are located at the bottom of the village, coming from the D900, turning right at the roundabout at the New Church; or on a contrary, at the exit of the village when coming from Lourmarin village. Within walking distance you have access to numerous restaurants, shops, Art galleries, etc …

  • Do you allow pets

Unfortunately we do not permit animals to stay due to allergies. We have seen a recent rise in the number of guests with animal fur allergies, so have now decided to respect this by not allowing guests to bring their pets with them during their stay.

  • The perks of making a direct reservation

When you make a reservation on the hotel website, you will be offered complimentary breakfast and parking.
