Why are we named “Le Clos du Buis”?

This name comes from the hundred-year-old box trees of our tree-covered garden. They keep our garden cool during the hottest days in summer and protect it from the Mistral, a strong Provençal wind.

What time can we arrive?

You can leave your luggage at the hotel from noon, please warn us at least on the eve before your arrival if you wish to come earlier.

You will be able to enter your room at 3 pm but we try, when it is possible, to prepare the rooms according to our guests ‘ arrival time.

What is the latest arrival time?

The hotel reception closes at 10 pm, therefore we ask our guests to arrive before that time. Indeed, we value our guests sleep and privacy and we are aware of the disturbance that can be caused by a late arrival. We also understand that some exceptional circumstances (flight delays…) may lead to a late arrival, but we would greatly appreciate if you could warn us by email or by phone.

What time do I have to vacate the room?

You can leave your room at any time in the morning until 11 am. Whenever it is possible, we can extend this timeline until noon with no extra charge if requested on the previous evening. If you wish to leave early before breakfast starts (8 am), we ask you to pay your bill the day before so you can leave earlier if you need.

Car park?

Right next to the hotel we have a free car park which is locked at night time. If you experience difficulties to park your car, feel free to come and ask us for help. We are located at the heart of the village, which is a meter zone. A 1h30 parking disk must be displayed in your car otherwise you will be fined. Parking disks are available at the reception for our guests.

Taxis?

We maintain excellent relations with several taxi companies, and we can book a taxi for you if you need to. Nonetheless, you must be aware that taxis are frequently booked in the region, especially during the summer months, and therefore you should ask for a booking as early as possible.

Where are we located in the village?

We are located at the entrance of the village when you arrive by the D900, next to the new church or on the contrary, at the exit of the village if you arrive by the other road “Combe de Lourmarin”.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately we do not allow pets because of hygiene and allergy problems. We have noticed a significant rise in the number of guests who are allergic to animal hairs (cats and dogs) and we have therefore decided no to allow pets in the hotel anymore.

What are the advantages of a direct booking?

If you book your room directly from the hotel, breakfast will be included. Otherwise you will have to pay a 14 Eur extra charge.

Cancellation Policy

➛ Any cancellation must be confirmed by mail or email
➛ If you cancel 15 days prior to your arrival, the deposit will not be refunded
➛ If you cancel during the 7 days prior to your arrival, decide not to come or to leave earlier, the entire cost of your stay will be charged

Information about Covid-19 - Special Cancellation Policy

For more than 20 years, Le Clos du Buis has been welcoming you responsibly & safely: this is why, in order to protect the health of everyone, guests and employees, on March 17, we took the decision to close our hotel in Bonnieux and suspend all check-ins, even in our rental properties, until further notice from the French Government.

 

In light of the health and economic crisis linked to the coronavirus, the French government introduced, on 25 March 2020, Ordinance No. 2020-315 (in French) which applies instead of the Tourism Code for the duration of the lockdown period introduced by the public authorities. This ordinance is intended to be pragmatic and protective of customers as well as businesses, in order to meet your current needs, whilst at the same time offering support to the tourism sector. In short, it allows hoteliers, private owners & tourist operators to offer you deferrals and/or credit notes instead of refunds for major causes, valid for 18 months from March 25, 2020 for any cancellation between March 1st, 2020 and September 15th, 2020.

Therefore, we invite you to take note of the measures taken by Le Clos du Buis below:

Your stay at Le Clos du Buis or in one of the rental properties is planned before September 15th, 2020:

  • You can postpone this stay(1) or obtain a credit note(2)valid for 18 MONTHS from the date of the Ordinance No 2020-315.
  • The deferral and/or credit note will be equal to the amount you paid us for your original booking
  • If, in spite of everything, you decide to cancel your holidays in France, therefore your stay with us, and request a refund of your deposit, please bear with us and we will keep you updated the evolution of the situation and do our best to meet your request before the 18-month mark.
  • If, within this period of 18 months, you weren’t able to use up your credit note, you will automatically get a refund of your deposit back.

 

(1) Postponement is possible without any modification costs, subject to availability within the next 18 months.

(2) The credit note is non-transferable and can be used in one or more stays, subject to the availability within the next 18 months.
